In December we celebrate three very popular and traditional Bulgarian holidays on which the whole family is gathering together on the table. Christmas, Christmas Eve and New Year Eve undoubtedly are very important for us and you can see a few pictures connected with these celebrations.
Santa Claus arrived at school with his sledge. The children were very excited because he brought them presents.
Here you can see the performance made by the little students from our school with their teachers for Christmas.
These are students with traditional Bulgarian clothing. They walked from room to room and did traditional rituals for health and luck. The girls sang songs and the boys “fighted” everyone with their decorated sticks called “survachki”.
These are traditional dishes for the Christmas Eve made by students from the school. As you can see there aren’t any meals made from animal products because this is the tradition for this day.
